Finding the Perfect Home on Wheels

After months of dreaming, researching, and deliberating, we finally took the plunge and bought our first RV! The process of choosing the perfect home on wheels one was both exciting and a little overwhelming, but we’re thrilled with the Class C RV that we now call our home on wheels. It even got his own name: Duco!

Why an RV?

Traveling has always been a passion of ours, but with a growing family, we wanted a way to explore new places without the hassle of constantly packing and unpacking. An RV offered us the perfect solution: the freedom to roam while keeping the comforts of home close at hand.

What We Were Looking For

We had a few must-haves on our list to ensure our RV worked for our family’s needs:

  1. Minimal Setup Changes: We didn’t want the hassle of rearranging the RV’s layout every morning and evening. Traveling is supposed to be fun, not exhausting!
  2. Kids’ Space: Our kids are happiest when they have their own little nook. We envisioned a cozy space where they could play, read, or just relax. That led us to bunk beds, stacked one above the other, tucked away at the back of the RV.
  3. Our Bed: It was important that we had a comfortable bed for ourselves. The bed above the cabin in a Class C RV fit the bill perfectly. It’s spacious, out of the way, and feels like our private retreat.
  4. Separate Seating: With two tables and their own seats, we ensured everyone has a spot to eat, play games, school or work without feeling cramped.

Why Duco?

Duco ticked all our boxes. Its layout is both functional and cozy, offering plenty of sleeping and living space without being overwhelming to drive. Plus, the bed above the cabin is a great use of space and gives us that extra room we need.

What’s Next?

With our RV now part of the family, the adventures are just beginning. We’re planning our first trip soon and can’t wait to share the stories, tips, and lessons we’ll pick up along the way.

For anyone else considering RV life, the process of finding the right fit takes time, but it’s worth it. Each RV tells a story about the adventures it holds—and we’re excited to start writing ours.

Stay tuned for more updates as we hit the road!
